Art Club!
Play and learn with hands-on engaging art experiences with various fun and safe materials. In the Art Club, students will begin to learn the FUNdamentals of art; line, shape, space, color, pattern, and texture. Students will work creatively on both 2D and 3D projects such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and even puppetry arts!

Ancient Civilizations: Myths and Folktales
We will explore various ancient civilizations around the world using reading, crafts, writing, art, science, music, geography, and history. Our classes use a multi-media, multi-sensory approach to learning.

Through many different math units, we will learn fundamental skills like measurements, time, multiplication, fractions, money, and more using manipulatives, games, and skill drilling.

Drama for Littles
Join us for games, improvs, and performances, as we learn the fun and fundamentals of acting. First semester, we will tackle Charlotte's Web and the second semester will be Alice in Wonderland. You’ll watch each student shine with confidence as we explore the skills of being in front of a crowd, projecting their voices, giving attention to others, working as a group, and many more skills.

Science Through Experiments
An experiment class with units in Chemistry and Earth Science. We will explore rocks, animals, reactions, and more. This is a two-year rotating course. Students who took year one (2023-2024) can pursue all-new experiments this year two (2024-2025) curriculum.

Upper Elementary Math
A math class for those ready to tackle the hard concepts in math: multiplication, division, fractions, and more. This course moves at the student's pace to help them grow these critical skills.

Photography

This course will begin by focusing on the art of taking portraits. Lighting, posing your subject, composition, and how to convey particular emotions and feelings through photography will all be covered. Any digital camera can be used, from DSLRs to cell phones. We will cover many different styles, including B&W headshots, high art style, Instagram worthy, couples shots, backgrounds, and also learn about styling for a shoot. We will discuss filters, "Photoshopping", cropping for interest, as well as basic touch-ups. Students will need a digital camera and laptops will be used some weeks. The students will then learn how to create art pieces using a mixture of photography, computer graphics, and editing. We will discuss styles, lighting, composition, macro photography, landscapes, and much more.

You’re Sew Clever! LEVEL 1

In this class, we teach the fundamentals of sewing, giving kids new skills and the sense of accomplishment that comes with saying "I made this!" We start with basic techniques like hand-stitching and replacing buttons, before moving on to using a sewing machine to make actual wearable items. In the process, students develop their project planning, problem-solving, and spatial skills. Over the course, students will make a number of projects, including hair scrunchies, throw pillows, sleep shorts, totes, and aprons.  Sewing machines provided.

You’re Sew Clever! LEVEL 2 
Building on the fundamentals learned in Sewing Level 1, students will tackle a more complex project over multiple weeks, creating denim jackets from scratch. They will build skills in interpreting and using patterns, adjusting patterns to their bodies, garment construction, and finishing techniques like topstitching and buttonholes. Additional projects will include zippered cross-body bags, toiletry kits, and/or stuffed animals as time allows.
